This sums up what God’s righteousness and justice achieves. God demonstrates the faithful fulfillment of his love and promises manifest in Jesus, and in turn God’s faithfulness evokes gratitude and faithfulness in us. This loop of faith, is the New Covenant, in a nutshell.
God’s Nature is to Love. And not some fleeting interest, but a Loyal, Compassionate, Enduring Love. We are the result of a creative God, who made us to love us.
God is described as compassionate and Jesus showed us what compassion looks like through his ministry. If we are to follow Jesus’ example, what should a compassionate heart look like today?
